| The Deke Latham Memorial Rodeo draws
some of the nations top competitors. Rodeo greats like bronc riders Dan, Billy and Robert
Etbauer, Marvin and Mark Garrett, Larry Sandvick , Craig Latham and Deb Greenough are
regulars here. Ropers Guy Allen and Bobby Harris and barrel racer Kristie Peterson also
frequent "The Deke". Since being sanctioned by the PRCA in 1987 it has become
both a Dodge and Wrangler series rodeo. Kaycee has twice been honored by the PRCA as
hosting the "Small Outdoor Rodeo of the Year." Kaycee, a small ranching
community, is host to more than 4,000 people over the fun-filled weekend. The Burch
Rodeo Company of Rosette, Wyoming is the stock contractor for this year's rodeo. Friday,
July 18th
- Tickets: $8.00 at the gate, kids under 12 are free.
- 5:00 pm: Single Steer Roping Slack
- 5:00 pm: Chicken Ropin (after 1st round of slack)
- 6:00 pm: Bar-B-Q sponsored by Ed's Body Shop
- Rookie Bronc Riding (following 2nd round of slack)
- 7:00 pm: PRCA Rodeo
- Bar Bands in Town
Saturday, July 19th
- 3:00 pm: Rodeo Parade (Sponsored by Kaycee Chamber of Commerce
- 4:30 pm: Chicken Ropin
- 5:00 pm: Close-up Bar-B-Q
- 7:00 pm: PRCA Rodeo
- Live music Downtown
Sunday, July 20th
